Today at start-up scene stumbled over it .. Birchbox , a U.S. start for product samples from the field of cosmetics. It works like this: women pay € 10/month, every month receives a package with samples of known cosmetic brands which may well take them from some limitations (no nail polish, perfume and lipsticks ... only what I know).
What it charming find, so a lot:
- from sales point of view (that is the point of view of Birch): Woman is a member of a certain minimum period of time - can I> plan and know how much money comes in
- for manufacturers: you bring their new products in a high-quality atmosphere (boxes with tissue paper, etc.) to women who are interested in explicitly for the type of product. What a contrast to the widely scattered carelessly tossed & Package inserts / product samples.
- for the customer: You can try new things before everyone else
In my view, a win-win-win situation for all.
works More generally, the "Club" concept so very well, except for books (World Picture & Co -> I find shit, but good), diapers (diapers.com - taken> from Amazon for an amount May you dizzy; windeln.de), underwear / socks (Tono & Co -> if something very "lockangebotmäßig" or as described herein in a previous post of mine - underwear & socks for men), or , or, or. I am firmly convinced that a club like the concept of Birchbox reason why works well, because the surprise factor is large. And I can very well imagine that the whole example, might work very well with shoes. Simply add your shoe size and be surprised. : O But: Returns may be difficult here. And yes woman loves individuality. When 3 best friends then the same pumps and the same boots get's sent is obviously stupid. Maybe with a pre-selection a la "I'm this and that shoe type" .. God knows. Was only once then spun Sun I will keep Birchbox in any case once in the eye.
